It's an interesting thought exercise, but there's no equivalency in my opinion. (I also dislike the term "coming out". )
I also think it unwise for the naturalist movement to associate itself, in terms of promotion and positive messaging for naturalism, with any other "movement". It will utterly confuse the benefits and appeal of naturalism. Do not dilute the message.
We have plenty of challenges; don't unwittingly get associated with the challenges of some other non-naturalist group.
Just to be clear, I'm not opposed to naturalism welcoming anyone who subscribes to our standards and codes of behavior.

I 100% agree. Naturism should only use naturism to promote naturism and not get side tracked into attempting to align itself with any other movement. It can maybe learn things by how other movements work, but never ally itself. Naturism has to maintain an perception that it is for everyone, every single person in the whole world, to ally itself with one group only it will only ostracise itself with another.
