  • What does naturism mean to you? In the first place the sense of freedom which it gives as well as a kind of 'rightness', of openness and honesty in accepting oneself and others. To shed one's clothes feels like emerging from a kind of cocoon to live in the light of truth. More and more then it feels as if putting on clothes is a necessary evil, whether for climatic or social reasons. I am also convinced by arguments which link pornography with prudery: the pornographic industry depends on a puritanical approach to the body and a calmer acceptance of nudity would eliminate a lot of what gives pornography its 'charge'.

  • Naturist Locations For professional and other reasons I have only been a solo naturist, being naked at home alone as much as possible but also at times in nature (mountain top streams, skinny dipping in the sea, strolling in woods, moving around outside when it is safe to do so). I long for the experience of social nudity having read many wonderful things about it on websites and blogs. I have been a member of Naturist Christians (a virtual naturist location) for some years and have gained a lot from the testimonies given there as well as from the range of books and videos they recommend.

  • Education An interesting childhood in a strongly Catholic culture, a generally happy family, I was able to continue studies up to PhD level. I have been a teacher more than a researcher and the feedback from students on my teaching has been encouraging.
