Finlayson Point is located south of Beacon Hill in Victoria, British Columbia, and is named after Roderick Finlayson, a prominent figure in early Victoria history.
Finlayson Point is a wonderful natural retreat on Victoria's lovely coastline. Perfect for pleasant strolls and picnics, and watching stunning sunsets. The atmosphere is welcoming to families.
Wildlife enthusiasts will enjoy the opportunity to observe various local species all adding to the feeling of returning to nature.
This rocky cove is quickly becoming established as a clothing optional beach. It's within walking distance of downtown Victoria BC and just off a walking path near Beacon Hill Park, the largest park in town. It's accessed by a well maintained path, just off of the Dallas Road, the main sea front drive. Interestingly, it's also very near mile 0 of the Trans-Canada Highway.
The beach itself is south-facing and sheltered, and the water is clear and, by the standards of west coast Canada, fairly warm. Which is to say, still very cold.
It's a great spot for a quick after work sunbathe. Clothed users still generally outnumber nude ones, and you will get some surprised tourists, but nobody seems to have any issues with nudity there. Some of the other adjacent coves will also seem some nude use.
