Apollo beach is an official clothing optional beach, located at the northern end of Canaveral National Seashore.The nude beach at Apollo was well established from 1975. Large sand dunes block the view of the park road and parking areas, so once on the beach all you see is sand and surf.The Clothing Optional area starts about 20 yards or less south from the ramp from lot #5 to the beach, and continues South for well over 10 miles. If you venture that far you would come upon naked people on the North end of the Playalinda Clothing Optional Beach Area.

Apollo and Playalinda beach are really just one long Clothing Optional beach, with Apollo on the North and Playalinda on the South. There are five parking areas along a 6-mile road. Each has a boardwalk that leads to the beach, and it is only on these boardwalks that visitors are allowed to access the beach. Walking on the sand dunes is prohibited and park rangers may ticket you if you do not observe the signs.
