Description

The swimming hole at the North Fork American River is located in Auburn, northeast of Sacramento.It will take you through gorgeous forests of giant Sugar and Ponderosa pines and Kellogg’s Black Oak.

It is generally not recommended that you swim in the Middle Fork, which is a challenging whitewater rafting river. The recreation area stretches for miles along both forks. You will find plenty of secluded swimming holes for naturist recreation, but be careful it is not an official naturist area so respect others who may not feel at ease with the nudism.
