Folly Beach is a city located on Folly Island in Charleston County, South Carolina; Fondly referred to by locals as the "Edge of America". Folly is a mecca for surfers, fishermen and all lovers of the laid-back beach lifestyle.There is not much foot traffic at Folly Beach. At the north end of the island, near the light house, where the beach follows the river you will on occasions find people in their birthday suits, unofficially of course as you can’t strip naked on South Carolina’s beaches.
