Good point, well actually the virus does it on objects and probably fabrics for some considerable time. Whether it stays there in sufficient quantities to be dangerous would be a moot point. So living in a country that complied to the point that it has almost managed to eradicate the virus, I would suggest that ost people would comply if the experts said that was a requirement.
I guess though for them to aken seriously they would have to lead from the front hich would be interesting. IPersonally I don't think any of our leaders would have the intestinal fortitude to do it without clothes they rely far too much on clothes to make a statement and to remove that protection would be a bridge too far.
But I too can dream ....

You make a good point right there. The clothes do make the politician...often the most substantial thing about them. And make no mistake, the CDC doctors who have been front and center in the media are as much politicians as the politicians. However, I would be willing to give them an out and say they are well-protected and seperated from the rest, so they can stay clothed, but the rest of us should be naked if we go out in public. :) Imagine a new culture of people around the world, enlightened to the joys and comforts and emotional security of laying it bare to all and going about life free of those restrictions and inhibitions.

I have often maintained for security reasons, everyone should fly naked. None of this requirement for body scanners et al. No one can hide anything and it's in a controlled environment so the temperature can be adjusted to suit the naked body. I have even mentioned it to the security personel in both NZ and Australia and they all agree there job would be far easier if everone few naked.
Thats my vote for a starting point, because no one actually has to fly and they are a private space so it would be one of the simplest ones to initiate.

I believe Textiles consider us deviant from social norms similar to how the LGBTQ comunity is viewed. However, if same-sex marriage can be legalized it gives me hope that perhaps Naturism can be legitimized.

I'm sure textiles do. However while it might not be the social norm certainly in all places I have lived it has never been illegal.
I personally fail to see how anyone can see it as a threat unless of course they have something to hide. Maybe most people have something to hide.
I agree this is going to be a very long road but that in itself is not a reason not to walk it.
