In reference to Mark above, he is right about how none naturists have no ability to understand the amazing feelings of firstly freedom, and body and self acceptability that naturism brings.
We have spoken to a lot of people in our time as naturists, and we have tried to explain it many times, but to little avail, which is mainly due to the masses of shame and stigma that has been attached to naturism by the mainstream media. Those very few who did try it were blown away once they understood the difference between being dressed and being undressed. We have had the joy of allowing one or two people to try and open up their eyes to the wonder of simple naked living, and it has been wonderful to watch as the person suddenly understood everything we told them.
Knowing what we now know, even though 9 out of the 10 we have spoken to have not tried it, we still feel we should continue to try and show people how wonderful the world can be when it is stripped of all the trappings of modern day life.
This is the point, only a naturist can truly express naturism, which is the reason why we encourage all naturists to at least try to educate one person. We have always believed that education from those in the know is key to moving naturism forward.
Companies that do not comprise of naturists will never truly be able to get the message of naturism across, and if they have to use artificial means to do so, such as tools like AI, they will fail in their attempts to do it. The only way to really express naturism, is to live it, and that can only be done through example.
As for the professional PR people hired by the naturist organization, we shall know them by their deeds. They may not be naturists or even sympathetic to naturism, they may just be in this gig for the money, but they won't get the money if their client doesn't like their campaign. So they will listen to their client and craft the campaign with both the client's success and their own in mind. Good communicators are good at communicating anything, not just their own beliefs or what they're being paid to advocate. So I say wait and see.
In general, I don't think you need to be a naturist to communicate positively about naturism. You just need to understand it well enough to communicate it and do so fairly. I do think people with direct experience are more likely to speak eloquently and favorably about naturism, and should be preferred for communicating our culture, but that doesn't mean non-naturists can't do it, whether being paid to do so or not.
As for so-called AI, we are not headed for a reckoning; we are already there. Fake images of nudity and pornography (among many other topics) are being created every hour of every day, and the people willing to believe these images are real are growing in numbers. I don't think we're yet at the point where we can't trust what we see, but we are fast approaching it, at least as regards people we don't see with our own eyes in "the real world." It's going to change who we are as a people, making us less trustful and more divisive, which rarely leads to anything good. (sigh)
Being a complete newbie to naturism I am so glad I found your site early on . I was unaware of other sites run by non naturists ( completely mad in my opinion) .Having only recently found the benefits on my mental health by exploring naturism and the wellbeing feeling it gives me it is beggars belief that non naturists can promote those feelings other than to benefit financially from naked bodies .
I questioned myself when posting that first picture . " what would friends think "? , Am I a bit weird " ? But then I thought life's too short for hang ups and pressed post . This site to me feels safe and bonafide and I look forward to experiencing naturism more and more. Big thumbs up to ANW to being real and big thumbs down to all other profiteering sites making naturism about voyeurism and sex.
