After five visits to the landed club in which I now have an official membership, I can attest that the women members and visitors seem entirely comfortable in conversation, behavior, appearances etc. They seem to have adopted to the behaviors within nudism that we all embrace. A few carry around a sarong, or some short of large scarf or semi transparent wrap, which goes on and comes off whenever the user feels the need. Other than that, I really see no differences in attitudes or behaviors between the genders. To me, this is simply wonderful and an endorsement of nudism.
All that said, the above refers to those who are already "in" or at least experiencing nudism initially. While my club is officially "no clothing", off the record the member women there tell me the club is tolerant of females who need a little coverup now and then. That's a smart attitude.
I tend to blame the American feminist movement for the demonizing of men. As just one example, consider their term "toxic masculinity". My adult daughter also blames the feminist movement for screwing up relationships between men and women.
Consequently I think the nudism community, internationally, needs to embrace and celebrate the beauty and natural differences between men and women, and we'll find that to be a welcome attitude.
This is a really good question, and I suspect one that doesn't have a simple answer. All I can share are my subjective thoughts. This doesn't mean I'm right, so take it all with a grain of salt :)
As a Gen X American, It always seemed to me that girls had to be more "proper" than boys. For example, boys skinny dipping, that's boys being boys. Girls skinny dipping goes against the cultural grain. I always thought it was harder for women to embrace naturism because of the pressures placed upon them to act or look a certain way. Those pressures weren't as prevalent for me growing up because I was a guy. Of course, that didn't mean that I didn't experience body issues. I just didn't see magazines geared toward me telling me how to lose 5 pounds overnight or be a better-just-about-anything in every grocery store line.
