In my teen years, whenever the rest of my family was away doing errands or whatever, I got naked and moved about the house, doing whatever I normally would be doing. I usually had some idea of when they'd be back and I could always hear the approach of the car; so I had plenty of time to get to my bedroom, slip on my clothes and come back out to greet them. One day, my little sister (around 10 or 11 at the time) had been at a friend's house. I was at the far end of the house and didn't hear her come in the back door. When I stepped into the kitchen, there she was, staring at me with a shocked expression. She said "What ARE you doing?" I just shrugged and said, "I like to be naked." She laughed uproariously all the way down the hall and went to her room and closed the door. It was never mentioned again. I continued being naked whenever I could; but never got surprised again.

The first time I thought of nudity as being non sexual was an oops moment in 5th grade(10-11 years old).It was near the end of the year and one of the teachers was showing us slides from her spring break vacation. She had gone to the Carribean and was very tan even ten weeks later. The last slide was her sitting on a lounge with shades a red sun hat and nothing else. She quickly realized it and switched to the next slide.I noticed that when she apologized she didn't apologize for being nude but for any embarrassment it may have caused anyone, which suggested to me that she was a naturist.
That suimmer I tried to figure out why our society had so much issue with the human body.I never could get an answer at that time.It planted a seed that being nude didn't have to be sexual even if the person was attractive like this teacher was(she looked a little like Lynda Carter).
It would be seven years later when I swam nude in a pool for the first time that I knew being nude was going to be the way I preferred to swim.It also was the gateway to doing chores like house cleaning and sleeping nude as well.

When I was in Jr. High in Logan, Utah, us boys always swam nude during P.E. It was required. I found it a little embarrassing then, but I'm sure that sparked my later interest in naturism.

My first nude beach experience was when I was around 15 with my dad and stepmother, They sat us both down and said "we are going to a beach, but not a normal beach, It's called a clothing optional beach". Long story short, It turned out just fine, My mom was into photography and she would take pictures of us in and out of the water. It was the beast time for me! :)
