At the beginning of the year, I set a goal to spend at least 20 days per quarter entirely naked. I call those my naked days. If weekend days are generally naked, not all of them are since we more often that not run some errands. Everyday worked from home is called a naked day, as long as I don't need to wear clothing more that 2 hours a day.
As the year was going and COVID restrictions were lifted, I tend to move more out of home and my naked days slipped down. My mood and my productivity suffered badly due to more travel time. A few weeks ago, I made the conscious decision to increase my work-at-home days. I had to reshuffle some customers meetings and engagements, but it's paying as I've now planned one day a week as my naked-work-from-home day.
With such a decision, three benefits:
- I'm back on track to reach 20 naked days by quarter.
- I decrease my gas consumption by at least 20%, hence cutting costs and reducing my carbon footprint
- I feel that my productivity went up not only during those naked days, but overall as I plan better my week.
I'm curious to know how you're organizing your weeks and manage to work naked from home more that one day a week?
