3 km east of Gorinchem, near Fort Vuren, there are a number of small beaches in the flood plains of the Waal. Nudist recreation takes place on one of the beaches on a limited scale. The beach is located behind a pond, which is surrounded by groves and is therefore limited and visible at a great distance from the public road.

No official swimming, due to a treacherous current between cribs. In addition, the suction of passing ships makes swimming dangerous. The nearest swimming location is on the other side of the river at the campsite De Musterdpot. The river Waal is the connection between Rotterdam and Germany. It is a nice spot to sit rest and see the many ships pass by.
