Spiaggia di Macchiatonda is within the State Reserve of Lake Burano in a protected dune environment, in Capalbio, Tuscany.A beautiful wild beach, with cool transparent water, where you can walk naked upon the grainy sand for miles.
Historically frequented by naturists. The beach is very clean and is manned by naturists who refer to the A.N.ITA. and to UNI Lazio.

- Ease of Access From the Macchiatonda car park, walk 2 km along the coast heading south, (left looking at the sea). After 15-20 minutes is the main outlet of the WWF oasis recognizable by some tables "planted" in the sand. After 100-200 meters begins the area where there are almost exclusively naturists.

- Directions How to reach: Spiaggia di Macchiatonda By car: from Grosseto take the Aurelia state road to the south, take the junction for entering the WWI Macchiatonda OASI at km 133,800 of the Aurelia. After about 2 km, there is an old abandoned farmhouse, and, by the sea, a restaurant (Carmen Bay) and a couple of bathing establishments, in addition to the free beach. At the end of the road there is a paid covered parking with sun-filter. When the parking is full you can take advantage of another parking - always on payment and at the same price, but uncovered - located about 350 meters before the end of the road.
By public transportation: take the train to Capalbio Scalo station, take the underpass and take the coastal road to the WWF Oasis Visitor Center. There is a free shuttle service available in June and September on Saturdays and Sundays, in July and August every day (in the morning from 9 to 13 and in the afternoon from 3 to 7 pm).
