The island of Rab is rightly referred to as the pioneer of naturism on the Adriatic. This is where King Edward VIII and Mrs. Wallis Simpson would take off their clothes, in 1936 and enjoy the first royal nude swim in the bay of Kandalora on Frkanj peninsula during their visit to Rab, it has now become the oldest nudist beach on the Adriatic.

On island Rab there is no nudist camp, nor the separation of naturists in enclosed resorts. All beaches for naturists are sufficiently distant from the public beaches so that freedom without clothing can be enjoyed unmatched. This is another pebble and rock beach.
