Tanybwlch Beach, Aberystwyth, Wales lies just outside the town to the south of the towering Pen Dinas, the site of a Celtic hill fort that dates from the Iron Age.
The beach is made up largely of coarse sand and shingle and has rock pools to explore.
The pebble beach runs adjacent to the Afon Ystwyth river for about 1km, there is a path separating the beach and river which is popular with dog walkers.
There are little coves further around the corner from the car park only accessible via the beach, ideal for groups, families or individuals that want more privacy from those walking on the path.
