Costa Calma has quite a few nudist beaches, but Playa Esmeralda has got to be the most popular one. A 400 metre long and 30 metre wide soft sandy beach is nestled between the beaches of Costa Calma and
Sotavento. The beach offers very clear, clean, calm and perfect for swimming. The northern part of Playa Esmeralda South is separated from a rock that you can only pass along the beach when the tide is dry. There is a sloping sandy area with bushes and small rocks. This area is particularly popular with nude bathers.
Costa Calma Caletta beach is at the west end of the Costa Calma resort and is near a headland leading into the Playa esmeralda. It is soft sand with large bushes providing shelter from the wind.
From Caletta it is possible at low tide to walk naked all the way, 12k, to Morro Jable passing many beaches that are listed individually or as part of a catch all title of Sotavento, including Mal Nombre & Butihondo.
