Pachia Ammos beach in Samothraki is more known for its 'Vathres' (water pools) and its waterfalls than for its beaches. A great part of the coastline consists of a rather narrow stretch of big pebbles and pale-sand framed by cliffs, is quite special on an island where most of the beaches are rocky and have dark stand.
The western part of the beach is organised with umbrellas, sunbeds and a tavern, specializing in seafood. Most of the beach is un-organised, but also without shade, except for two oak trees quite removed from the sea. The water gets very quickly deep, thus not ideal for small children, you will find it is naturist friendly at the unorganised popular naturist beach section.
