The beaches of Anafi Island have an untouched exotic character and are a major attraction for nature-lovers. Megalos Roukounas is the island's most popular sandy beach and a major meeting point for summer nature-lovers. Sheltered from the north wind. It doesn’t provide many facilities, but there is plenty of shade to rest and relax under the tamarisk trees.
It has a coastal length measuring approx 400 meters and gives soft sand and fantastic waters. Due to its popularity as a nudist beach (unofficial), it is usually not crowded. You will usually find people camping to the back of the beach.
