Praia do Palheirão is a wild extensive beach located within a sleepy beach town about 7km west of Tocha. This isolated beach due in part to the very poor access one has to endure to get to the beach.
Measuring 5.4 km of lovely white sand where approx 90 per cent of bathers are naturists, there is always plenty of room. Others that enjoy this beach are those that enjoy surfing and body boarding. It has a large pine grove and sand dunes behind.
Located between Mira and Torch in the county of Cantanhede. Naturism, although not official is family-friendly, and can be found both to the south and north of the car parking area.
The dune cord that accompanies this remote beach is protected by the vegetation of the forest. Ideal for practicing naturism or picnicking in the woods near the sea. For those who desire an intimate and secluded contact with an immaculate landscape, this beach is worth a visit.
