Playa de Canabal is located in the Artabro Gulf, at the foot of the Mera lighthouses facing the Tower of Hercules. The name "Os Alemans" comes to this beach because, according to the fishermen, it served as a refuge for a group of German soldiers during World War II. His name is that of Canabal.
Playa de Canabal is a beach of extraordinary beauty, small in size of just 200 meters by 10 meters it is a quiet beach offering and white sand and is fairly difficult to access as it is situated between two cliffs, yet has a promenade that leads directly to the beach. It offers naturists and textiles alike, tranquility and natural values.
