Pointe Tarare is a beautiful naturist beach located at the east end of Grande-Terre, in Guadeloupe. The only known "naturiste" beach in Guadeloupe. (Plage Crawen, near the Bois Joli Hôtel, was formerly an official clothing optional beach, but things have changed now due to local politics.)
Pointe Tarare beach is reported have a lot of cruising activity, which may not be suitable to everyone's tastes! This beach is very small and getting smaller as a result of beach erosion, and it's often crowded in the afternoon. White sand and turquoise waters offers visitors great snorkeling within 200 metres on the northwest side around the reef. You will see octopuses, barracudas, cuttlefish, and all sorts of interesting fauna and flora.
4.6 miles east of Saint-Francois, Pointe Tarare has been a clothing-optional beach since 1964, which can only be reached after a short and easy hike. A small beach with golden sand. Tranquil with clear waters safe for children to swim and clear enough to enjoy snorkeling within 200 metres on the northwest side around the reef.
