Praia do Abricó is located in Grumari situated about 20km from Barra da Tijuca 35km from Copacabana on the western part of the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Rio declared Abrico as its first official naturist beach in 2001. It is the only beach which currently allows the practice of naturism in the city.
The beach is tiny and if the tide is high the sand can be reduced to almost nothing. The gay men prefer to stay in the end and straight men and couples stay in the first half. There is are no rental of chairs and umbrellas on the beach, so bring your own. In addition, there is practically no shade.
There is a naturist beach behind the giant rocks to the north side. Excellent place to visit if you can get there!!!
