Situated south of Breda are the former sand extraction lakes De Galderse Meren.On the north side nudist recreation is allowed on beach E. The area is signposted and officially nudist is allowed from 1 April to 1 October.
A peaceful area, with forest backdrop, there are a number of sandy sunbathing areas to lie. Follow the paved path on the right side of the lake to get to the designated naturist section.
The water has fairly high acidity, so no algae growth is possible and there are no fish. As a result, the visibility under water is dozens of meters and the water is tropical blue in color. The area is meant for swimming and windsurfing. There is also a dive site for diving.
