Whiritoa Beach is on the Coromandel Peninsula between Wahi and Whangamata, North Island, New Zealand.
A stunning long white sand beach great for surfcasting and surfing but can be a bit treacherous for swimmers with rips and holes.
Head to the northern end in the lagoon for safer swimming. You can also enjoy a couple of spectacular coastal tracks/easy walks. Turn left when you hit the beach and walk 50 meters or so and you may encourter naturists. You can easily stroll from one end of the beach to the other in a couple of hours, with stops to take in the ambience of the place.

- Facilities You're only a 10 minute drive form all the cafes and restaurants of Whangamata, There's also a dairy at the top, where you can buy ice cream! Free toilets etc at the north end of the beach, with taps and showers to wash off the sand/salt water.

- Ease of Access Access is easy. From the carpark, head down to the beach and cross the lagoon. Walk the well marked track for about 35 minutes to Waimama Bay.
