Description
Charming little sandy shingle beach, and one of the easiest to access I've ever encountered. Lovely views across the Solent, but ugly views behind in the form of a derelict military fort. Constantly under threat of development, Eastney beach continues to hang in there, much to the joy of the local beach goers, and a friendlier bunch I've yet to meet. The seawater is usually crystal clear, but watch for submerged obstacles if you do take the plunge.
Officially recognised as a naturist beach by Portsmouth City Council, but the signs always need replacing as they're constantly being nabbed, probably locals who think it's funny to grab a souvenir.
