We had heard that this beach suffered from the wind but as it was quite a still day we ventured through the area of La Tremblade to give it ago. It was a little out the way but it was somewhere we hadn't driven before so we enjoyed the scenery the parking was easy enough to find we then walked through a marked path in the dunes to the beach. AS we hit the beach we immediately realised we were wasting our time the wind was unbearable and sand was pelting you consistently in the face. We didn't consider getting undressed. We wandered for a few minutes took a few photos and then left feeling rather disappointed. There is another beach a little further south La Bouverie, but we figured that may be just as bad. We drove to Naturiste Plage Grande Cote / Des Combots a little more further south and found this just great. I am sure in the right circumstances this beach may be great but I wonder if those circumstances ever happen and it is only fit for body suits and surf boards etc.I would certainly recommend those who wish to try it to do so as it is a great location and would value other opinions.
