Ladye Bay is a small bay located in Clevedon near Bristol, South Gloucestershire. It is accessed from Bay Road (off the B3124) or from the coastal footpath.  There is free but limited parking in Bay Road and it pays dividends to park on the corner near the junction with the B3124 where some trees provide shade all day.  Walk along the road to wards the end and you will find a path to your left leading down to the bay.  The path has a series of uneven steps and the handrail at the bottom has been damaged by storms so access is difficult for those less fit or with buggies.

The beach itself mainly comprised of pebbles (upper beach), large boulders (middle) and mud (lower), this being the Severn Estuary.  It is not wise to try to swim at low tide because of the mud and high tide is best treated with caution by experiences swimmers only.  The Clevedon Wild Swimmers access the water here at high tide to swim to the pier and thence to Clevedon Beach so don't be surprised if fifteen or more west-suit clad types suddenly appear!

Being a very small bay it can get crowded at weekends but on weekdays you may be alone.  It is overlooked (in parts) from the coastal path but once the tide has gone out some large rocks provide a degree of privacy.  Local naturists value the bay and seem to mix well with textiles although there is no signage indicating that it is clothing optional.  It has no natural shade but the bay itself is shaded from October to April and is probably at its best in early summer when sea temperatures might rule out those beaches where swimming is the preferred option.  Ideal for quiet sunbathing but it has no facilities so bring your own supplies.  Please use this beach to ensure it keeps its naturist status.
