Le Jaonnet Bay

Destination

Le Jaonnet Bay is a deep cove on the south coast of Guernsey sitting nearby the parish of St Martins, a short but tough walk around 800m along the cliff from Icart point.

The best time to visit Le Jaonnet Bay is during low tide where you can relax among the soft, white sand At high tide the beach is inaccessible as the water may rise above the ladder and the sand will become completely covered.

The difficulty of getting to Le Jaonnet bay brings few visitors, therefore you find that you have the whole beach to yourself.  Being so hidden away it can often be considered Guernsey's 'unofficial nudist beach'. It is also reputed to be one of the island’s many coastal hidden gems.
