Located on the eastern coast of the northern part of the island. Is Xigia Beach, a natural spa beach!The water in this region is being sulfur mined, as you will see by the turbidity in the water when you look at it, it looks like something has not quiet dissolved.
The water is clean and pleasant. It is said to have healing properties, after bathing you will notice your skin feeling very smooth, however a day or so later you will still have a slight sulphur odor.
This beach is small and pebbly, it is wonderful for snorkeling. On reaching the main beach turn right, where there is an adjoining shingle cove behind a rocky outcrop. This can be reached by wading through waist-deep clear water. Past the outcrop there is an area where you can bare all and enjoy.

- Facilities There is a bar at the top of the cliff, they have invented a fun mechanism for transporting food to the beach - in the form of a "rollercoaster". - Directions From Alykanas go North along the coast, after about 5 km is a road sign that points right to Xigia beach, a tiny track takes you down to the small parking space.
