The small secluded beach of Vlychada located on the south coast of Santorini, 13 kilometers from Fira is a geological phenomenon typical of the volcanic character of the island.
It is a lengthy beach with relatively shallow waters (ideal for scuba diving and snorkeling because of the beauty of the underwater fauna and flora) and dark volcanic sand and pebbles, are like most beaches in Santorini.
The interesting rock formations situated the entire length of the beach look like the work of a sculptor but are in fact the work of nature, wind and elements in a Gaudi-esque style.
Vlychada is a little traveled atmospheric intimate beach, making it a great destination for naturists. It is not suitable for young children, the water quickly becomes deep. Do not forget the swimming shoes! A hidden gem!
