Nido dell'Aquila beach is wide, the sea is generally generous but sometimes you can find sea-washed seaweeds with lots of Posidonia due to the currents.

From far away the beach is recognizable for the numerous kites in flight, including the big yellow kite with the word ANITA - FKK. This official beach has been enjoyed by naturists for over 40 years.

Directions Getting to Nido dell'Aquila is easy. From the town of San Vincenzo, head south along Princess Road running parallel to the sea between San Vincenzo and Populonia. After about 6.5 km on the outskirts of the town there are two farms on the sea side, some 200 m away. The firstis called Podere Tuscania, while the second farm (called Nest dell'Aquila) is in need of repair. From the parking follow the path to the sea, then walk left along the beach for another 100 meters towards the first promontory, it will take approx 15 minutes on foot. From a distance, you will see the kites in the sky. Once on the beach walk to the yellow flag with the initials FKK.
