The little sophisticated cove of Praia dos Caneiros is located not far from Lagoa, close to the eastern bank of the Rio Arade estuary.Backed by sandstone cliffs Praia dos Caneiros is protected from the winds.
As with almost all the beaches in the area you have to be careful not to sunbathe under the rocks because rock falls are common. The sea here is calm and great for children. In front of the beach, there are rock formations emerging from the sea which create a stunning landscape.
Split into two parts at high tide but at low tide you can venture to the smaller sandy bay to the west in the direction of Portimão. This area tolerates naturism and since it is less accessible it offers greater tranquility. There is also cave area which will appeal to those wanting to explore.
