Situated on the north of pretty Baleal, Praia da Almagreira Beach is a hidden treasure, which enjoys a long sandy stretch of approx 1,5 Km in length.
It stands out for its charming landscape; the red earth, hills and springs around where several cliff protuberances dissect the sand in its centre, creating some sheltered areas from winds.
Although not official, it is a popular location for naturists, and wild campers. The ocean also provides good conditions for the surf and body boarders. The unique beauty of this beach along with quiet and wild environment make this a special beach worth the awkward sloping descent.
