Playa de Son Real is a naturist cove situated 12 kilometers from Can Picafort. Cala Varques is the most popular beach of the whole set of pristine coves in this area.
Characterized by being a virgin and calm beach and having large dimensions and fine pearly sand. It is also the largest, with eighty meters. It is surrounded by rocks, pine forests and caves, and its waters are crystalline, with shades blue, green and turquoise. On its shore is the accumulation of remains of Posidonia Kelp.
These clumps of seaweed can reach several meters in height. Its measures vary notably during the winter according to the force of the Torrent water of Son Real. Playa de Son Real is classified as receiving a low influx of visitors, mainly due to not being easily accessible and due to the fact this beach offers no facilities.

- DirectionsTo get to Playa de Son Real from Santa MargalidaTake the Plaza Abeurador. From here you will take the Artà road (Ma-3400) turning right. Continue until the junction with the Ma-12 (Artà-Port d'Alcúdia), here you will turn right to join this road. Travel about two hectometers along this road until you come to a turnoff to the right, you take this turnoff, which leads you to a dead end road that will lead directly to this beach. At this point you can park your vehicle for free and access Playa de Son Real.
