Saladar-Urbanova beach is located south end of Alicante, 5 kilometres south of the city centre, in a quiet area. Its fine, golden sands stretch for over 1.5 kilometres, making it perfect for strolling along.
Its setting is semi-urban and to the north there is a line of sand dunes, which enhance the view, It is in an area of wetlands of high environmental interest. The natural reserve of the salt marsh is situated behind.
The water is quite good, although as in almost all beaches of the province when there is temporal of rising, the sea is clouded and many algae arrive. There are special areas reserved for naturists, located between Urbanova and Altet, at the height of the dunes.
