Located in the region of Campo de Gibraltar, Playa de El Canuelo is a singular beach that can only be accessed by walking among pine trees. A small treasure, hidden away for large crowds looking for the hustle and bustle of urban beaches, just a few kilometers from Zahara de los Atunes.
If you really want intimacy, tranquility and nature and enjoy being in the presence of naturists then this beach of fine and golden sand with crystal clear water of a beautiful turquoise blue is one of the few remaining natural and virgin paradises in this country.
Unfortunately, this virgin beach is a little difficult to access, but it's worth the effort! Here you can enjoy a piece of the original Andalusia. The beach extends for about 1 km of fine white sand, the water here is crystal clear and very clean. The beach Playa del Cañuelo is a popular beach for nudists and offers a wonderful feeling of calm and peace.

- Directions Access is made from the Lighthouse of Camarinal by paths opened by the hikers, through scrub palmito, juniper, pines, rocks and sand. There are small marks and signs on logs and stones, but no urban signage, dirt road, asphalt, etc. It is the easiest way to get there, you have to park at the end of the beach of Alemanes (past the resort Atlanterra, in Zahara de los Atunes) and from there, walk to the lighthouse at Punta Camarinal and then to the beach. The walk is 900 meters in length. Access is well signposted. The walk is about a mile in continuous descent and takes approx 15 minutes.
Although getting to this beach is a little difficult the spectacular views make it worth it. Another way to reach this beach is from Bolonia beach, via the Bolonia-Camarinal footpath.
