This huge, sandy beach with breathtaking landscape and unspoilt sands on the south western corner of Anglesey runs along the edge of Newborough Forest and the sand dunes of Newborough Warren.
The mighty peaks of Snowdonia dominate the skyline on the far side of Caernarfon Bay. There are delightful walks through the miles of forest trails, teeming with wildlife including red squirrels. The Blue Flag beach is large enough that it won’t feel crowded even during the hottest of summer days, and the gentle slope of the sand makes is perfect for children to play in the sea.
It’s little wonder that it was the Sunday Times People’s Choice for “Best Beach” If you’re lucky, you may also spot dolphns or even the occasional Minke Whale. Llanddwyn is a magical place. Bound into the sea, then swim back to shore while taking in the beautiful mountain backdrop of Snowdonia National Park.
Nudist attendance is low, but most nudists seem to prefer the north end of Malltraeth Bay
