Description

Long rock beach is situated in a small nature reserve / headland, mid-way between Whitstable and Herne Bay.

The Saxon Shore / Coast Path path runs though through the reserve right next to the beach, but seperated by a narrow river, which offers little privacy. The beach offers little shelter. Previously designated for naturist use; signs were replaced stating that 'Naturism Is Not Condoned On This Beach'.

The local council does not explicitly approve of naturism, but at the same time is powerless to stop it. The signs were reported to be removed and the naturism continues.
