Bowery Hot Springs is just beyond the Bowery Guard Station along the East Fork of the Salmon River. This free hot tub, is made of fiberglass and steamy water is gravity-fed from the 125-degree F spring, with a pipe which brings the water from the source to the tub. There is a bucket to collect cold water from the river so you can moderate the temperature. Situated within a peaceful forest setting, nudity is the norm here. The tub is replaced every once in a while, though is typically in somewhat of a rustic, yet just functional, condition. Visitors are encouraged to drain and clean the tub after use. The water is clear and clean with a strong sulfer odor from the hot spring. It takes up to an hour to fill the tub, so relax and enjoy the peaceful forest surroundings, and once your done, empty and clean the tub.
