Sandbanks Provincial Park (Sandbanks) is an Ontario park famous for its beaches (Outlet Beach, Sandbanks Beach, and Dunes Beach) and swimming. Established in 1970, the 1,551-hectare park is situated on the shores of Lake Ontario in Prince Edward County and is notable for having the world’s largest bay mouth barrier dune formation.
There are lots of signs posting against nudity, but the western end of the west sector of the beach has been unofficially clothing-optional for many years. Walk a few hundred metres west of the parking lot, and chances are you won’t run into many people who aren’t there for the same reason you are.
Although not officially recognized or permitted if you walked about 20 minutes down the beach away from the family groups and crowds the beach became uncrowded and clothing optional for some.
World’s largest baymouth barrier dune formation Three expansive sandy beaches that some say are among the best in Canada; Outlet Beach is perfect for families, with shallow waters and gentle drop off picturesque sand dunes and beaches. It also has the world's largest fresh water sand bar and dune system.
