Tambaba is an official naturist beach in Brazil, located on the Atlantic coast. The Tambaba cliffs help create secluded inlets. It is impossible to be seen by the curious because the beach is completely inaccessible. There is only one entry and constant vigilance. If fact Praia de Tambaba consists of two beautiful beaches, one of which is "textile" and the other "naturist".
The naturist beach access is somewhat difficult, both passing through the surf and walking a rough but short trail. However, the naturist side is spectacularly beautiful, with both open beach and areas with rocks and tidal pools. The area has tall coconut palms, with a sharp wooded bank behind the beach. Tambaba has generally been recognized as the most beautiful naturist beach in Brazil, although Praia do Pinho is the oldest and has better infrastructure.
The waves are good for surfing, especially in the late winter and early spring. The beach hosts Brazil's only naturist surf tournament: the Tambaba Open in September.
