Horseshoe Bay is the most popular of Bowen’s twelve beaches. It is a picturesque little beach, lying out on the north-east tip of Cape Edgecumbe, 4 km from the town centre.
A palm fringed bay framed by two granite outcrops provides a haven for a wonderful range of fish and coral, just a short swim from the beach. The whole cape is composed of rounded granite rocks and boulders.
The beach used by naturists is the last stretch of sand on the Grey's Beach side of the Cape. The bay is also a top spot for divers and snorkellers.
